Our expert team has years of experience in elite sports performance training, strength & conditioning, injury prevention and rehabilitation. The Impact crew along with our partners Origin Media Co, Synapse Physical Therapy, and Boulder Therapeutics have worked with athletes in the NFL, NHL, MLB, MLS, IHL, NCAA and US National teams.

Rylan, originally from Grand Junction, was one of the first people involved with Impact. He started as a baseball performance coach, and worked his way up to the Director of Sports Performance, and ultimately, now, as an Owner/ General Manager. He is not one to shy away from an athletic challenge and has implemented many different athletic practices and modalities to the facility. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and coaching his three kids, in their own respective athletic endeavors. His wife, Danielle Reed, is also one of the Directors and Owners at Impact Kids' Club.

Kari has been personal and small group training for 6 years and is currently an owner/director at Impact Fitness. Kari has always been an outdoor and fitness enthusiast. She was a competitive swimmer and runner through high school and college and has since competed and placed in many triathlons and endurance biking and running events. It is Kari’s mission to help clients gain strength, flexibility, mobility, and endurance so they are ready and able to compete, play, parent and keep up with life's busy schedules. She specializes in personal and small group training, weight loss, high intensity circuit training, strength training, and general fitness. She is dedicated to energizing, empowering and equipping clients and members for all of their passions and adventures. Kari absolutely loves people and she is all about creating a positive and motivating community!

SPENCER GOODDING
Spencer graduated from CU Boulder in 2016, and after completing two internships with Impact Sports, began his training career as a Personal Trainer and Sports Performance Coach. His passion for fitness started as a means to train for other sports, but soon realized he preferred the weight training to everything else. Spencer played rugby through high school but began competing in local Powerlifting and Strongman competitions in college and beyond. Spencer strives to see transformations in people through strength training and adopting fitness as a way of living, “because when you’re strong, everything else that life throws at you seems to be just a little easier.” Since beginning at Impact, Spencer has worked with everyone from all sports and backgrounds from youth and high school, collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, and the local firefighting community.

Kelly is 26 years old and grew up out in Bettendorf, Iowa and discovered her passion for sports and training out in the cornfields of the midwest. Kelly was involved in any and all sports activities at a young age ranging from gymnastics to golf, but settled her sights on a lengthy career in soccer, basketball, cross country, and track. Because of her multiple sport background, Kelly has also encountered the injury side of sports many times and has developed a STRONG passion for understanding how to address these issues. Her main focus as a trainer is to combat past and current injuries as well as create a proactive approach to potential injury. Kelly had the pleasure of developing her sport training background in Division 1 weight rooms at Iowa State University and the University of Colorado-Boulder. There she was able to work with all athletic teams, trainers, and coaches as well as learned the requirements of what it takes to be a next level athlete. Her specialties include: mobility and flexibility training, recalibrated movements, general strength training, sport strength and speed training, and sport conditioning.

ROBERT GARRISON
Robert comes to us as a Certified USA Boxing Coach, originally from Los Angeles, with 30 years experience with 47 amateur bouts including the Golden Gloves. His boxing life started as a very young man at Rocky’s Left Hook, which is famous for being the gym where Sylvester Stallone trained for the film Rocky. In his US Navy days, he added 4 years experience fighting in Smokers and special events where he was an exhibition boxer and competed in Judo. Robert fought in Bridgeport, CT rising through the ranks all the way to the Golden Gloves in 1986.
Ultimately, Robert became a Personal Trainer with a specialty in one of his greatest loves – boxing. When he learned how much his clients also needed body work to accompany their training, he studied to become a Certified Massage Therapist with a specialty in trigger point modalities and deep tissue sports massage, later putting his skills to work in physical therapy and chiropractic offices. Later he became certified as a “Stretch to Win” Fascial Stretch Therapist (FST).

Carissa is from a small town in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She recently moved from California to Colorado to take on the outdoor adventures and bring her experience and knowledge from her athletic career to help people reach their goals. Carissa played many different sports in highschool including softball, track, and golf. However, basketball gave her the chance to play on the collegiate and professional level. Carissa played Division I basketball at Oklahoma State University before transferring to University of Arizona where she graduated and finished out her collegiate career. She then took the opportunity to play professionally in Russia, Turkey, Israel, Spain, and Portugal. She loved traveling around the world doing something she had a passion and drive for; and gained even more knowledge from the diversity of people around the world, different styles and techniques of training. Carissa is now loving to help drive people to their goals. Abby brings a holistic approach to fitness by blending together the yang elements of high-intensity strength and conditioning with the yin elements of breath work, mobility, myofascial release, and meditation. Her approach begins with building functional movement patterns (“own your movements” and be able to “move like a kid again, and forever”) and generating forward momentum with small internal and external wins so that you can advance to your higher goals. Jacob was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He moved to Colorado in 2017 for school and finished his internship at Impact in August of 2021. He comes from a youth sport and development background and truly enjoys working with young athletes. His passions for training include speed, agility, quickness, plyometrics, and mechanics. As a coach, he believes that a strong mind and character lead to an increased performance on and off the court or field. His strength programs focus on sport specific movements while maintaining and improving the explosive power components of a given sport. In his free time, Jacob volunteers for a local Boy Scout Troop, enjoys going out with friends, spending time outdoors, and his Traeger.

Jay graduated from MSU Denver in 2020 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Minor in Nutrition. He joined the Impact team after completing his internship under Daniel Kubistek during his final semester of University and is just beginning his career as a personal trainer and strength coach. He grew up right here in Superior playing hockey and basketball, while also enjoying skiing and every mountain sport that Colorado has to offer. Jay’s passion is to help athletes and adults become better versions of themselves inside and outside the weight room. Jay’s philosophy emphasises goal setting, discipline, and falling in love with the process of becoming better in any activity or aspect of life one wants to pursue. In all his training programs he highlights mobility, flexibility and self sufficiency so that anyone he works with can learn what their bodies and minds need to keep progressing. Daniel is a born and raised Colorado native having grown up in Arvada, he stayed local for college and completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado. He completed multiple internships with Impact in the summer of 2016 and then another in the spring of 2017. From there he began training at Impact working with sports including: hockey, football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse; as well as adult clients and coaching adult fitness classes. Daniel has also trained a wide variety of athletes ranging from youth to the likes of CU-Boulder and Regis University as well as professional athletes. Seeing the benefits of what a good coach can do for clients has fueled his passion to be the best coach he can be to help deliver the best results and experience for anyone he works with. He relies on matching programs to individuals and their needs rather than molding an individual to a specific program.

Tim completed his internship with Impact in the Fall of 2013 and has been training athletes ever since. He has a passion for working with athletes in plyometrics, speed, and agility, helping them to increase vertical and quickness on the basketball and volleyball court. As a coach he believes that being strong will help to produce power, so basic fundamental strength patterns are a must in youth sports. Working with athletes that jump and land constantly he also focuses on injury prevention in the lower extremities. Tim has also found an interest in cardiac rehabilitation while working with adult clients post heart attack. Outside of training Tim enjoys time with his family, girlfriend, friends, and american bulldog.

T.Roe is a Former D1 Football player and current competitive endurance athlete, triathlete, Spartan and cyclist. After sustaining 2 neck surgeries to repair herniated disks in his cervical spine - Thomas was told he might never walk again if he returns to the grid iron and continues playing football. This sidelined his dreams for the NFL but not his desire to compete.

Travis graduated from Hastings College in 2018, where he later went on to complete his Masters Degree. After finishing his football career, he spent two years as a graduate assistant human performance coach, where he was the head performance coach for Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Bowling, and assisted with the Football team. Travis also assumed the roles of Director of Lifetime Sports, Media and Marketing Manager, and Branding/Clothing Manager for the Human Performance Department. He was also an assistant personal trainer for the Hastings College Great Day Guru Program, which is a one on one personal training program for non-student athletes at the college. When not in the weight room, Agagah has served as a teaching assistant and instructor for basic and advanced strength and conditioning classes under the human performance program. During the summer of 2019, Coach Agagah interned with the Athletic Performance Department at Creighton University and Warren Academy of Omaha. As an intern at Creighton, he assisted and led both soccer teams, softball, women’s basketball, baseball, and volleyball through workouts. He also cleaned and maintained the weight room, and completed projects through the intern curriculum. At Warren Academy, he programmed workouts for youth, high school, and college athletes while serving as a head strength coach during lifting sessions. Travis specializes in sports performance and youth & adult fitness. Max joined the Impact team after completing his internship under Tim Atwood. He has experience in working with older adults, youth athletes, and populations with special needs. Max lived an active lifestyle growing up in Boulder, Colorado. He grew up playing football, running track, water skiing, and alpine skiing. When Max is not at Impact he channels his active energy into training, fly fishing, water skiing, alpine skiing, and golfing. Max has a passion for helping people live an active life and reach whatever training or fitness goals they may have.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Emily has lived in 6 different states, but is proud to call Colorado home since moving here with her husband and three children in 2017. Emily has always enjoyed being active and exercising, but discovered CrossFit in 2019 and never looked back to her old fitness routines. Emily fell in love with CrossFit because of the challenging and effective workouts, but also because of the incredible community she has found within CrossFit. She is passionate about CrossFit’s methodology and feels strongly that movement is medicine and that the benefits of CrossFit extend well beyond the hour of the day spent training in the box. She is excited to share this passion with others.
A former elementary school teacher, Emily is thrilled to combine her passion for fitness and a health with her love of working with young kids as a CrossFit Kids coach. If Emily isn’t working out at Coal Creek, chances are she is spending time with her family, petting her dog Steve, or day dreaming about being on a beach.

Sydney is a Colorado native and a former professional dancer and cheerleader for both the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. Sydney has trained with some of the top trainers the NBA and NFL have to offer. She grew up in competitive dance through high school and college before pursuing her passion for dance on a professional level. Sydney found Impact Sports Performance and Coal Creek CrossFit after she retired from dancing and reignited her passion for fitness and health. She specializes in mobility and flexibility training and wants anyone who comes to her class to improve their range of motion, prevent injury and recover from the hard work they put in at Impact. When she is not coaching or getting her workout in at Impact, Sydney is a full-time Realtor in the Denver Metro area as a part of The Monarch Group at Compass.

Jolie Manza is a dedicated movement enthusiast, who has been teaching for over 15 years. She was born here in Boulder Colorado where she spent her youth studying dance and practicing yoga, which culminated in receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and movement studies from University of Colorado.
What followed was a decade in New York City performing, teaching and studying with a myriad of outstanding yoga teachers, deepening her knowledge of different traditions including: Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, and The Yoga Works Method. She also worked as a master trainer for The Tracy Anderson Method, which kick-started her journey with the fitness world and love of travel as she crossed the world training.
After years in the city, she ventured to Bali to further her education and explore what South East Asia had to offer. It was here she built her company YogaKoh, a school that offers movement education.
Her classes blend her love for the physical practice that shows up through creative flows, core and mobility training as well as structured alignment concepts. You can expect to work hard, learn along the way, and explore new and exciting ways to move.

Steve is a Lydiard Certified Running coach and has been instructing local runners for many years. He began running competitively nearly 50 years ago and developed a life long love for the sport. Steve is a self proclaimed “running nerd”. His philosophy is that each runner has hidden talent that can be developed with intelligent training. Steve believes that by avoiding common mistakes, each runner can achieve steady and consistent improvement. As a coach, Steve excels at helping athletes of all levels and abilities achieve their maximum potential.
Steve earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from U Mass Dartmouth and is the founder and co-owner of Flagstaff Surveying, located in Boulder. In addition to running, Steve spent several years instructing martial arts. He is married to Jill who is also a runner and coach. Having raised four wonderful children, they are now recent empty nesters and the proud pet parents of Peanut and Snickers.
