LISA AVERY
Lisa a mother of three, a coach, graphic designer, and endurance athlete. Growing up on a farm in Earlville, Illinois, she developed her strength through farming chores.
Previously a multisport athlete, she competed in water skiing and softball until age 50. In her 40s, Lisa found distance running, which evolved into ultra-running and triathlons, leading her to appreciate the benefits of combining CrossFit and weight training—insights she shares with her clients.
After two years of personal weight training, Lisa recognized a need for beginner-friendly classes. She became a certified trainer, creating a program to support first-time gym-goers. She has also worked with youth athletes to improve their speed and strength.
In 2022, Lisa moved to Colorado, home to many endurance athletes. After a short trial, she chose a CrossFit box for its supportive community. Now a Level 1 CrossFit Coach, she combines her passion for endurance sports with functional fitness.
Outside of training, Lisa enjoys trivia and planning vacations—preferably those that include a race. She believes in limitless potential and challenges misconceptions about our capabilities.
